Why is my car heater fan seem to throttle up and down?

I have a '02 Ford Taurus. Lately when turn on the heater and the fan on high - as I'm driving down the road or at a light, fan and down and then accelerate at full volume and then to down and back and forth. Fan motor is out? I just had a new alternator and new battery installed - the problem has been since then - the other thing is the light Battery lights from time to time - Meters all goes well - that's why its so strange.

Do you mean that the fan runs when the car is slow at a stop sign or at idle, and accelerate when driving on the road? If so, you have to do with the charging system in your car. The alternator does not produce much energy when the engine is idling as it does when the engine is running faster. Not a problem if the battery is still getting proper voltage for charging purposes. If you have a voltmeter, check to make sure that the output voltage at the battery terminals remains among the 13 volts at idle and 15.5 volts at high RPM. These pressure figures can vary a little of what your car manual recommends, but are good for a basic rule "finger."
