Hi, I'm building a solar car for the solar car challenge in my area and im wondering wat is the best way to hook the battery pack to the solar panel and motor, also the best type of battery, as I want the lightest possible (Its only a Solar RC Car) 30W his panel and the battery should not exceed 2VaH ... and should be used only as a voltage regulator just need more information just say thanks, schultzy

You do not say what the panel voltage output is the input voltage or motor. Basically, what I want is connect the panel to the motor and battery in parallel so that when the panel becomes more powerful than the engine needs, is used to charge the battery. For example, if the group brings to 12 VDC and the engine is a 9.6V RC needs a 9.6V small battery to limit the output of 9.6V panel.
